From visionary director Ava DuVernay comes Disney’s “A Wrinkle in Time,” an epic adventure based on Madeleine L’Engle’s timeless classic which takes audiences across dimensions of time and space, examining the nature of darkness versus light and, ultimately, the triumph of love. Through one girl’s transformative journey led by three celestial guides, we discover that strength comes from embracing one’s individuality and that the best way to triumph over fear is to travel by one’s own light.

Directed by Emmy(R) winner and Oscar(R) and Golden Globe(R) nominee Ava DuVernay from a screenplay by Oscar winner Jennifer Lee based upon the beloved novel by Madeleine L’Engle, “A Wrinkle in Time” stars: two-time Academy Award(R) nominee Oprah Winfrey, Oscar and Emmy winner Reese Witherspoon, Emmy nominee Mindy Kaling, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Michael Peňa and introducing Storm Reid, with two-time Emmy winner Zach Galifianakis and Emmy nominee Chris Pine.

Produced by Jim Whitaker and Catherine Hand with Doug Merrifield serving as executive producer, the film also boasts an impressive creative team featuring some of the most talented artisans working today, including: Tobias Schliessler, ASC as director of photography, Naomi Shohan as production designer, Oscar(R)-nominee Spencer Averick as film editor, two-time Academy Award(R)-nominee Paco Delgado as costume designer and four time Emmy(R) nominee Ramin Djawadi as composer.

  1. Not only is the acting incredibly awful, especially from some otherwise accomplished cast members, but the original storyline was all but abandoned. I read the book several times, and even I was confused what was going on in this film. There was no explanation for any of the concepts, character development was nonexistent, special effects were plentiful but meaningless

terrible acting, preachy storyline and a poor adaptation of a decent children's story.

The story starts and develops so slow and with nothing exciting to tell. There were moments (if not the entire movie) in which all the magic could be seen as fake and special effect only. The acting for the main character is bad. Very bad.

The main problem with this movie is it so very unfaithful to the book. It doesn't even attempt to remain true to what the book is truly about.

There was no plot, no building up to any climax

The dialogues are plain boring, the acting is painful, the costumes are ridiculous, nothing makes much sense

Did the people who made this even read the book?!?

The movie, however, managed to replace key story elements with over-the-top special effects that added nothing. An all-star cast couldn't do justice to the book, leaving out major plot points and characters.

The book was inspiring, this is not. This is a new age mess. Terrible acting (Oprah, really?) and no real direction doom this CGI nightmare.

Bad acting, poor writing, horible directing… just terrible.

The characters were unrelatable, lines were too corny, CGI effects were so unreal, the main character was forced to portray something that didn't seem to fit the role and everyone was trying too hard to be something they're not.

slow paced, pointless dialogues and bad action sequences, hilarious special effects and horrible, annoying Soundtrack

Avoid this movie at all cost and Buy Finding Nemo,Monsters Inc.,Pixars Cars series,Kung Fu Panda Series,The Muppets series,Home alone 1 & 2,Live action versions of Beauty and the Beast,Cinderella,Dumbo,Aladdin,ET (1982),Pixar’s Up,Monsters vs Aliens,Finding Dory,Toy Story Series,Jungle Book,Madagascar, and Ratatouille if you want a Good Movie for Kids & Family ❤️❤️❤️

  2. I really couldn't understand this movie, things happen and they sorta expect us to understand but I dont. I thought they entered some sort of imagination land but nope, just another planet with talking flowers….a giant Elsa with no legs, a lettuce lady, and a hundred other things that dont make sense they tried to explain it but they more just throw words out saying,"Yeah! That did that! The thing I just said!". Really starting to think the weird ginger lady might have slipped them some hallucination drugs and they're dad was just in the garage the whole time. It's like Shark Boy and Lava Girl but taking out the plot and adding better CGI as its replacement

  3. I was watching interviews about this movie and I was like lemme watch the trailer so I know what its about, now I’ve watched the trailer, I still have no idea what it’s about.

  4. the main character can't act well.. Sorry not sorry but I admire Charles Wallace more! Sucks to be the main character.. Go take acting lessons.. 😑😑 I hate it! And oh, by the way, I wish Disney will write better story and choose better person to fit the character.. Everything is bad for me..
