Equal Means Equal Movie Trailer 2016

EQUAL MEANS EQUAL is an unflinching look at how women are treated in the United States today. By following both real life stories and precedent setting legal cases, director Kamala Lopez discovers how outdated and discriminatory attitudes inform and influence seemingly disparate issues, from workplace matters to domestic violence, rape and sexual assault to the foster care system, the healthcare system and the legal system. Along the way, she reveals the inadequacy of present laws in place that claim to protect women, ultimately presenting a compelling and persuasive argument for the urgency of ratifying the Equal Rights Amendment.

  1. I attended a panel discussion in Philadelphia March 26 2019 with 4 women's groups business, public, private and advocacy – most people and our youth to earlier 20's think the ERA was passed…I am planning a home viewing event with women in start ups, entrepreneurs and a few in public office in Baltimore, Maryland to watch documentary. Thank you for creating this film Kamala Lopez! Rock on with Courage #couragecafe

  2. unbelievable even though it is 10000% clear women are privileged group in western society and particularly in the anglo american society, they have the balls to come out with yet another full of shit crap victim protest AMAZING!

women you are full of worse than shit

  3. Scare tactics lies meant to scare you into thinking women are not equal. It's shocking how many lies you can fit in a single video and to be riding the false claims of the wage Gap when it's been proven wrong so many times is pathetic. I found out very quickly that no side (right or Left) wants equality they just want shit their way. This world is shit and all humans are to blame.

  4. If anyone reading this thinks sexism doesn't exist in this country just read the comments. 19% of the House of Representatives is female. 21% of the Senate is female. If we are supposed to have a representational democratic government then women should make up just over 50%. Do the math.

  5. Fear mongering or scaremongering is the deliberate use of fear based tactics including exaggeration and usually repetitionto influence the public in order to achieve a desired outcome.[citation needed] It is a tactic used to scare or put fear into those viewing a campaign/advertisement and influence the outcome based on fear.[1]

  6. Wow..we have a long way to go!! Way way further than blacks. We are way below them. 108 likes 94 dislike's. Equality that's it….really? Men want to keep us down. Or was it other stupid women that disliked it?!

  7. I got to see the premier showing at the Nations Capital. It is worth watching and will open your eyes, if they weren't already, to the inequality women face every day in the workforce

  8. Women do have equal pay. The numbers are just averages of the country, and it factors in variables such as the fact that women decided to take more time off of work then men. You wont find a job out there where a man is getting paid more an hour than a woman because of their genders. If you do, it could be because of how long one or the other worked there, additional responsibilities, ect. It's illegal to pay women less. If woman were cheaper to work, don't you think companies would only hire women?

  9. The 14th Amendment to the Constitution was ratified on July 9, 1868, and granted citizenship to “all persons born or naturalized in the United States,” which included former slaves recently freed. The Equal Protection Clause is part of the Fourteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution. The clause, which took effect in 1868, provides that no state shall deny to any person within its jurisdiction "the equal protection of the laws".

  10. Listening to these Entitled snowflakes shriek about not having equal rights, when in fact they have infinitely more rights and privilege than their male counterparts, is enough to make one puke!

  11. I hope this movie talks about how the reason why Jennifer Lawerance was paid less was beacuse her agent didn't negotiate higher numbers, not sexism. I hope it talks about how the "pay gap" is an average of all women's jobs from all lifestyles and positions compared to men's, not in just the same fields and positions.

But I know it won't, since movies like these are only about making you feel good for "realizing an injustice " while feeding you an agenda skewed as all hell.

  12. I started watching this video hoping that it might not be terrible. I was disappointed.

Can you list one "protection" men are given in the constitution that women don't have? If so, lead with that.

Are you actually, seriously, complaining about female homelessness? Congratulations, you lose all credibility as an unbiased source. There are a lot of situations women might genuinely have a disadvantage, but homelessness is definitely not one of them:

"Adult men were heavily overrepresented in the homeless population. More than
three-fifths of homeless adults were men (64.0 percent) compared to 48.7 percent of the
overall population and only 39.9 percent of the poverty population" – AHAR, 2009

Considering that this video tries to spin that America has the highest percentage of homeless women, while not acknowledging that men have it even worse, it's pretty clear that this video is pushing an angle, not conducting a fair and unbiased assessment of current conditions.

I'm disappointed. I can't really trust anything in this, if the most verifiable data is strongly against them.

  13. Every American business should just stop hiring men. They're just too damn expensive. I'm gonna open a defense security company and only hire women. That should definitely get me A BIG fat contract with the DOD.

  14. Men die more than women at work.
There are thousands of more men that are homeless than women.
Most suicides in America are made from males.
The gender wage gap was proven false AGES ago.

Why in the fuck are you still fighting for more rights than men? Man hating cunts.

  15. Discrimination based on sex is already illegal. What good will yet another law do?

Took a look at the petition, oh goodie, more wage gap nonsense. The wage gap is a myth and has been debunked so many times by so many people that I won't bother with it.

To the maker of this video and of the petition. Name one right. ONE RIGHT that women in the western world don't have but men do.

  16. How fucking stupid are you guys. Women are equal, and almost everyone knows that except for fucking idiots. Your can literally look up why the wage gap is a myth. All modern feminists are so fucking ignorant

  17. Feminists don't want equality. They want an advantage. They want all the advantages of the male role and none of the disadvantages. Maybe men should start demanding all the benefits that women get in society. No more "after you ma'am". Instead, "Waiter, you can give the check to her, she'll be paying". Woman should be forced to register for the draft, right? If your house is on fire, who do you want climbing up the ladder to save your children? Go ahead and try to convince people that you would rather have a female. Men do much of the heavy lifting and get no credit. It goes unappreciated by today's whining feminist losers. It's a shame, woman no longer represent the beauty they once did. Now they represent a big pain in the ass, not worth the time or trouble. Men are realizing they're better off single.

  18. NOTICE: that this ad for a movie did NOT mention what rights women do not have? More homeless women? Men makeup 92% of the homeless in this country and they conveniently forgot to tell you the REST OF THE STORY? Think they would care that boys and men are being forgotten in our country's schools. Men makeup less than 40% of our college graduates? These are the men your daughters will be marrying. Now who will be making less?

  19. "Jennifer Lawrence is being paid less than her male co-stars"

Did anyone see this movie? Do you know how little screen time she had compared to the lot of them? You're also comparing a relatively new actress to actors who have been in the industry for decades. I love me some J-Law, but seriously? Could not have picked a worse example.

  20. Simple, honest questions: Are all Men treated equally?……………..(no)
Well, how can women demand equality with men, when men themselves are not treated equally by society?

Which men do these women want to be equal to?

    -The many homeless men?
-The many western men, who all have to pay a female/state-enforced ransom, just to see his own children?
-The PTSD ex-military men who are often left with nothing after they return home to cheating wives & no support?
-The many men who have lost everything they ever worked for through a bitter divorce & a hateful family court?
-Or, what about the many suicidal men who struggle to find work, or fit into a society that hates/rejects them for having no money?

Why are western women NOT demanding "equality" with these men??

Could it be that these women ONLY want the privileges of successful men, while ignoring the hardships & injustices that poorer western men face everyday?

Why do so many western women think they inherently deserve all of the good things in life?
If the goal is truly for EQUALITY; do men not deserve these things also? …..(who fights for poor men?)

    #MGTOW………………
