Writer-director Greta Gerwig (Lady Bird) has crafted a Little Women that draws on both the classic novel and the writings of Louisa May Alcott, and unfolds as the author’s alter ego, Jo March, reflects back and forth on her fictional life. In Gerwig’s take, the beloved story of the March sisters – four young women each determined to live life on her own terms — is both timeless and timely. Portraying Jo, Meg, Amy, and Beth March, the film stars Saoirse Ronan, Emma Watson, Florence Pugh, Eliza Scanlen, with Timothée Chalamet as their neighbor Laurie, Laura Dern as Marmee, and Meryl Streep as Aunt March.

  1. love these type of movies and stories, they take you back to a time, when people learn how to entertain themselves, they read, and act out plays, and learn how to dance and go to dances

  2. This actually looks promising! I have loved Little Women ever since I saw the Winona Ryder version. I’ve read the book and seen 2 other modern adaptations as well as clips from the older versions. I questioned another adaptation just because there’s already so many, but with all of these amazing actors and actresses, I am ECSTATIC!

  3. 1:57 I actually cried in the theaters when I got to this part in the trailer. It's so emotional, so powerful, and as an advocate of women's rights, that statement resonates with me so much! 🙂

  4. im excited, i love the book, and love movie versions of this wonderful story, i watch every year at christmas, little women with katherine hepburn and little women 1994, but i have also enjoy modern interpretations of it, like march sisters at christmas, and i look forward to watching this one
